If you’re a camping enthusiast, then Norris Lake in eastern Tennessee might make an ideal destination for you. The region is home to a large number of campgrounds, so you have many choices in where to go to enjoy a serene night under the stars.
Norris Lake Camping Areas
Enjoy a camping adventure at Hickory Star Marina & Campground. The RV campground provides campers with a lot of exciting options. When you camp at Hickory Star, you can maximize your comfort by adjoining porches, decks or boardwalks. The campground consists of 80 camping sites in total, with 40 pull-throughs. Other amenities of the campground are guest laundry, a bathhouse, swimming pool and playground. Hookups for cable, water and electricity are provided, too.
Beach Island Marina is another popular Norris Lake camping site. The campground’s RV sites are equipped with power and water hook-ups alike. Both short and long-term sites are available. Last but not least, the campground has a dump station that all campers are permitted to use for free.
Norris Dam State Park is home to two separate Norris Lake camping grounds. One is located on the western edge of the park, while the other is located on the eastern edge. Some of the sites lack hookups, while others have water and electric hookups. Sites without hookups are cheaper. Dump stations are available. While pets are indeed permitted to enter the campgrounds, they always have to be leashed.
Mountain Lake Marina and Campground is yet another well-known Norris lake camping site. It’s open all year long. Both “back in” and “pull through” sites are offered by Mountain Lake Marina and Campground. The sites have full hookups with electricity, sewer and water. Visitors to the campground are also welcome to use facilities including a swimming pool and bathhouse.
Cedar Grove Marina & Campground is a casual and friendly camping site. The campground’s sites are all close to the water. Many of the sites have cozy locations right below cedar trees, too. The sites have electric and water hookups. Leashed pets can stay here. Travelers might find this campground convenient due to its proximity to Highway 33. Boat rentals are nearby, as well as many areas for fishing.
Norris Landing Marina has a pleasant full-service camping site that consists of 23 RV sites. These pull-through RV sites are all equipped with full hookups. Rates include water. Boat slips and electricity are available for additional fees. Visitors to Norris Landing Marina are close to various dining and shopping establishments as well.
